Northstar Bass Club
Fish-Off (Marion) 2008
|
The best part of the fish-off for me was the plate size pancake at Big Chief where we met prior to finding out our fish-off lake. Next best part was that
the weather was perfect for the event.
|
Steamy Waters

That isn't engine exhaust either. The morning air was rather cool prior to blast-off causing warm air rising off the water as this image shows.
|
Holy Boats Batman!

The parking lot at Big Chief was littered with bass boats as this image shows. Also, I hope the price of gas doesn't sky rocket by his time next year. I can see it now,
$5.00 plus per gallon {Yuck!}

Anticipation is making me wait...

Everyone is waiting until the magic hour (6:30 am) when we all find out the lake we will be fishing. The breakfast was good and my cake was perfect!
|
It's a numbers game

Club treasurer Jerry Ewert is checking the numbers for the event's payout. This is why we have fingers....Onesy, Twosy, Threesy, Four...
|
It's in the bag!!

Kris Greene looking pretty confident on his plans for fishing the day's event.
|
Team Ranger

Hi everyone as John Lhotak scoots by with his antique Cadillac tourny boat.
|
Non-Boater and Lunker

Taking Non-Boater and Lunker is Todd Bjerklie whose total weight was 11.62 pounds and a lunker fish of 4.21 pounds. This guy just keeps on winning
lunker while being in the back of a boat! What would happen is this guy took his own boat for each tourny event? Watch out Mr. Bass!!
And for the first time this year,
el-presidente Mike Seabrook will be presenting the awards.
|
Second Place

Second place winner Gary Kamrowski weighs in with a weight of 14.38 pounds. This great performance was able to place Gary into the top six. Congratulations
Gary on making Top-6 honors.
|
FIRST PLACE WINNER

First place winner Casey Ehlert won the day with a weight of 16.15 pounds. Casey is a fishing machine as this win propels him to Mr. Bass status and dethroning
defending champion John Simonson who ended up in second place for the year. All in all, both of these guys are exceptional fishermen as they both swap top
honors the past several years.
